Today, while scrolling through LinkedIn I read twelve desperate posts asking for help in finding work. Right now the job market is tougher than tough

As a recruitment professional, I wish I had the superpowers to help everyone land a job. That said, I do have some experience in what gets noticed and possibly helps you stand out.

You could call it my special, 'access code' of 1234.

I take my job in professional search very seriously. Professional being the key word. I am fully aware that when working with clients I am an extension of their team and represent their company in terms of reputation of their brand. My job is often made more challenging when the experience I want for the candidate is not the one I can give because feedback is slow or lacking, the process isn't as transparent as I would like and a hurry up and wait theme takes hold.

Don't be fooled that by setting your profile to 'Open To Work' that offers will be knocking at your door. You actually have to work at your job search as if it were your full time job. And it is one of the toughest jobs to be had. You will be turned down and disappointed, there will be highs and lows, but in the end and if done right, you will find the perfect opportunity.
